1. Order Processing and Dispatch Lead Times
Order processing begins immediately upon receipt of the confirmed purchase order and the required advance payment or deposit. Lead times are clearly communicated in every quotation and sales confirmation, and vary based on product type and order nature. Standard stocked items are dispatched within 3 to 7 business days. Production-to-order items dispatch within 10 to 21 business days. Custom orders require 4 to 8 weeks from design confirmation. Export orders include standard lead times plus 3 to 7 additional business days for documentation preparation and port handling. Rush processing may be available for an additional charge subject to production capacity.

2. Packaging and Loading Standards
All construction materials dispatched by BuilderMaterials.in are packed and loaded to minimize transit damage. Cement is dispatched in intact, sealed bags with protective shrink-wrap covering on pallets. Steel products are bundled and banded with rust-inhibiting packing where required. Tiles and flooring materials are packed in manufacturer cartons with edge protection, palletised, and stretch-wrapped for stability. Specialty products such as waterproofing membranes and coatings are packed in sealed containers with temperature sensitivity labelling where applicable.

3. Domestic Shipping
For domestic buyers across India, BuilderMaterials.in ships via established national logistics networks including full truckload (FTL) and part truckload (PTL) carriers, selected based on consignment size, destination, and delivery urgency. Tracking references are shared with buyers via email upon carrier handover. Our domestic logistics team actively monitors all shipments and proactively communicates with buyers and carriers in the event of delays or route disruptions. Freight charges for domestic shipments are calculated based on consignment weight, volumetric dimensions, and destination, and are clearly stated in the quotation.

4. Export Shipping
For international shipments, BuilderMaterials.in coordinates with freight forwarders for sea-freight (FCL and LCL) and air-cargo options, depending on order size, urgency, and destination. Our export documentation team prepares all required paperwork — including commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, certificate of origin, and any destination-specific compliance certificates — ensuring smooth customs clearance at the destination port. International buyers are responsible for destination-country import duties, taxes, and local delivery costs unless a DDP arrangement is explicitly agreed.

5. Partial Shipments and Split Consignments
For large project supply contracts, phased deliveries aligned to your construction schedule are our standard approach. Each delivery is individually tracked, invoiced, and documented. Buyers receive consolidated delivery documentation and a running supply schedule report throughout the project. Split consignment arrangements are confirmed in writing before delivery scheduling commences.

6. Transit Damage and Delivery Discrepancies
Suspected transit damage or short-delivery must be reported within 48 hours of receipt, with photographic evidence and the carrier's delivery documentation. BuilderMaterials.in collaborates with the relevant carrier to investigate all transit damage claims and pursues remediation through carrier insurance or direct replacement.
